Overview
Bloomsbury Glass is a glass supplier and processor, supplying firms across the UK with glass products including balustrades, doors, and shelving solutions. It has to follow and evidence a range of processes for audits, including factory production control, health and safety, and quality control.
By digitising its records using Culverdocs, Bloomsbury Glass now has them all in one place, improving traceability and making it far easier to collate documentation for audits.
The Challenge
Audits at Bloomsbury Glass require a complete record of its processes. On paper, that meant scanning in, labelling, and filing records every week, then finding them whenever they were called for.
We would make the records on paper, and then once a week I’d have to scan them all in, label them, and when they were called upon, I’d have to find them. I wanted to digitise the whole process and make it better.

The business needed a solution that could:
- Replace paper, ending the weekly scanning, labelling, and filing.
- Create a full, auditable record that is easy to pull together for audits.
- Improve traceability across its daily records.
- Help prevent missed fields from becoming non-conformities.
The Solution
Indy searched online for paperless systems that would suit the business’s needs and found Culverdocs. After an initial conversation, the team at Culverdocs got him set up and supported him with any queries along the way. He now builds forms independently, finding the Form Builder intuitive and turning to the Knowledge Base when needed.
Culverdocs is now used across:
- Factory production control forms.
- Health and safety walkarounds and quality control audits, where choosing a machine brings up the questions to ask.
- Risk assessments and safe systems of work (SSOWs).
- Training records, attached as PDFs for employees to read and sign off, with a custom report for each employee.
- Customer account applications, linked from the website and sent straight to accounts.
- An online ordering form that comes through as a query.
Indy started with the factory production control forms, with Required Fields built in, then gradually moved as much as possible across. When a health and safety consultant joined who was using Microsoft Forms, Indy suggested putting those on Culverdocs too.
The Impact
Faster Audit Preparation
Preparing for an audit used to take about a week. Now Indy selects a date range and downloads the reports in one go.
It saves me hours, honestly. What would have taken about a week to prepare for an audit, I can literally do in less than an hour.
Traceability You Can Rely On
Records now sit in one place, and forms can’t go missing.
The main thing is forms can’t go missing. That’s massive, because if one of those goes missing, you essentially lose all traceability for that day.
Fewer Missed Fields
Required Fields help make sure a missed name or time doesn’t turn into a non-conformity.
By digitising the records, we basically made required fields, and we’ve got parameters you need for a pass.
Faster, Easier Form Updates
Updating a paper form meant reprinting and rolling out the new version. Now every change gets a new version number and goes straight to every device, with no lag.
As soon as you can change it, you get a new version number, and you can push that form out instantaneously to every tablet or whatever device you need it to get to.
The Results
Today, Bloomsbury Glass runs its own factory production control, health and safety, and training records on Culverdocs, alongside customer account applications and online orders. Indy would recommend Culverdocs without a doubt, and believes most businesses should be using a system like it.
Honestly, I would recommend it to anyone. I think most businesses should be implementing either this system or something quite similar.
